Jason Kessler tells the story of how the militia got involved in Unite The Right on new podcast, claims they stayed outside of the park so they wouldn't be called "racists"...

Image
Jason Kessler has recorded a new podcast with a longtime racist who goes by the moniker "Horus The Avenger" where Kessler, for the first time, publicly addresses the heavily armed militia who came to the Unite The Right rally. In the podcast, Kessler claims that he negotiated with the militia about where they should position themselves during the event, ultimately "agreeing" that they should stand outside the barricades so that, according to Kessler, they wouldn't be called "racists". This is the first time Kessler has addressed the militia's involvement in the event. Previously it was only speculated how the militia became entangled in the disaster.

The recordings include Detective Braden Kirby and an officer referred to as "Detective Hudson", likely to be officer Michael Hudson (though unconfirmed at this time.) Kessler was in the middle of testing audio equipment with an unnamed friend at the time of the visit, presumably audio equipment which would ultimately be used at the rally.
