The Charlottesville/Albemarle VOST used Pinterest for intel sharing during the July 8, 2017 Ku Klux Klan rally...

The Emergency Management Coordinator for Albemarle County, Allison Farole, activated a team of volunteers known as VOST to monitor public social media accounts during the July 8, 2017 Ku Klux Klan rally which took place in Charlottesville, Virginia. The team was tasked with monitoring the "temperature" of the public based on social media posts and reporting their findings back to Farole who would then elevate any rise in "temperature" up the ladder. The VOST team reported what they were seeing through email and also pinned relevant posts to a Pinterest page created especially for the event.

To date, the page has 104 pins and 13 followers including Farole. See if your social media traffic was picked up by the VOST on July 8th below.

Restoring the honor!
