Make America Hate Again: Connie Chastain is right...

Folks, this is probably the most truthful thing Chastain has ever said. In a Democracy, there are winners and there are losers. We can't be the winner every time. We lost. We lost big, but it's not the end of the world (not yet at least), and starting today we have to work even harder than before to ensure that the authoritarian state Trump has promised does not ever become reality. Folks, a Neo-Fascist was just elected President, these are scary times, but the scariest thing is the defeatist attitudes that are so prevalent right now. Having a defeatist attitude is not going to prepare for 2020. We are talking about four years, that's not a long time. We had eight years of W, and we lived, and now we're going to have four years (minimum) of Donald J. Trump. I accept that Trump is our President because that's how it works in a Democracy, but that doesn't mean that our work stops. Our work is just beginning. Folks, we have Nazis who are openly organizing as we speak and who are using Trump as a stepping stone to their own power. This is not a joke. In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, just last weekend, cuddly and cute crypto-Nazi Matthew Heimbach railed from the steps of the statehouse with the National Socialist Movement. They literally Sieg Heiled from the statehouse steps. It was disgusting, but what was more disgusting is that average people didn't even care. Average people paid no attention to what was going on in Harrisburg. It's time to start caring. I said this weeks ago, racial politics have hit the big time, and they aren't going away. Changing demographics are forcing a change in our politics. Trump is the response to changing demographics. White nationalism is rising around the globe. We can't continue to pretend that we aren't going through these undeniable cultural and political changes. Folks, it is time to accept that we just witnessed one of the biggest political shifts ever in this country. Yesterday, this country took a giant step closer to the Fourth Reich. I am not joking. It is happening as we speak. This is not rhetoric, this is reality. The work that we are doing to expose these Nazis and everyday racists is important work, but it only means something if people pay attention and use this information to learn and as motivation to act against our enemy from within. These racists have come together under the slogan "Make America Great Again", which directly implies that they want to turn the clocks back. Nothing would make them happier than to re-segregate our country (at a minimum) or to repatriate anyone not like them (or in other words, non-white). They have won a battle, but we cannot let them win the war. Folks, we have another battle coming in January, in Lexington, Virginia as the Confederate Heritage and Hate movement threatens the minority population with a full weekend of intimidation and harassment. I urge anyone who cares to converge in Lexington on Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend to send a clear message to these racists that they are not welcome. Please go support the important non-violent work that C.A.R.E. Rockbridge is doing to push back against this tidal wave of hate that is sweeping through our nation.

Restoring the honor!

  1. My gosh, Trump's election sent you over the edge, didn't it? And now you are way, way down, you've hit the bottom, and you're not sure you can hold your breath long enough to get back to the surface so you're panicking. Not a pretty site, when panic diminishes cognition...

Your comment is hysterical, in both senses .... crazed and hilarious.

Every time you purport to tell us about the people you hate -- what they think and what they feel, and when you describe their eeeeeville motives -- you're not exposing them. You are exposing your own odious thoughts and feelings, and your own foul, repulsive motives. You are giving people a look at your own ugliness.

Now you're attempting to exacerbate a conflict -- one that could flare up into violence and get people hurt, which would no doubt please you, if it was the "right" people. I guess you're still disappointed that nobody got hurt in the confrontation in D.C. last year, so you're pinning your hopes on Lexington now. You can deny it all you want, but your whole diatribe here -- the lies, the delusions -- are obvious incitement. No, not obvious; conspicuous.

Stew in your own hate-juices, Jacob, but Trump is going to make the country great again... or at least, better. And that means economic prosperity, not race. Everyone will benefit, including white people. I know that distresses you, because you've made it abundantly that you hate white people. But it can't be helped. A rising tide and all that...

BTW, is Soros proviging any funding to the CARE hate group's Lexington incitement? Because if he is, it won't be a non-violent demonstration. He pays thugs to hurt people and destroy property. I hope my friends will be safe and the priceless historical artifacts in Lexington will survive CARE's hate and destruction.

    1. If he goes full-on authoritarian, they won't mind because the oppression will be of the Left, but what of all of his grandiose promises? They voted for him because of all of his extreme rhetoric. They hate Muslims, Blacks, gays, Jews, basically anyone non-white and non-Christian. I am already seeing an extreme change in people at my work, they are saying things openly at work that would have been taboo and grounds for firing a year ago. This is not just associate level like myself, but management level as well. My work is a champion of diversity and inclusiveness too, it has been very heavily stressed. This morning, I found myself doing something I've never done before, writing an email to our CEO to step in and reiterate that hate speech and rhetoric of the like are unacceptable at work. These things are actually spelled out in our work rules, but the Trumpists are floating on cloud nine right now. I literally cannot speak out at work for fear of being ostracized or even worse attacked. That's pretty scary, but this is just the beginning.

    2. I should add that I am used to this, because the Trumpists are the same Pro-War crowd that had W's back during the Bush years. That's the ironic thing, these folks are the same folks that voted for Bush. They are Pro-War, not Anti-War. They rebranded themselves during the 8 years of Obama. None of us knows what the next four years holds, but I strongly suspect it ain't gonna be pretty.

    4. Boy, that's some faulty logic. They are the problem, but it's me that should look for a new job. Ummm, how about, no? No, instead I've written emails to our CEO and President of an Employee Resource Group for LGBT/Diversity and Inclusion and asked them to address the problem
In one voice to all employees at any level. Trump is having a horrifying affect on our nation, but we aren't going to sit idle, we're going to fight back. And of course big mouths like Chastain are going to fly in and downplay what's happening before our very eyes as a small minority of people saying mean things, but this goes much farther than that. It's easy to simplify the problem in that way, but actions are usually preceded by words, and the there are a lot of scary words being thrown around right now.

At the end of the day, I'm not worried, because no matter what Trump does or says, he's not going to stop private corporations from firing people who deserve to be fired for their actions and words. There are plenty of people looking for jobs to replace people who think that they have a blank check to do and say whatever they feel like. Trump and his campaign have been a model that his followers see as an endorsement of a Wild, Wild West mentality. The truth is, that shit isn't going to fly. Get ready folks, we're facing a very turbulent four years.

    6. Not everyone at my work behaves this way, but a lot of the folks I work with directly, day to day do. By and far, my work is very inclusive, but over the last two days it's been a free for all as Trump's supporters feel emboldened. Folks, my coworkers were discussing Nigel Farage this morning. White Nationalism is slowly creeping into the day to day lives of mainstream whites. Seriously folks, everyone needs to pay attention. We have now crossed a line. We live in a different world today then we did yesterday. The old style thinking and ways of dealing with these racists isn't going to work any longer.

I should note that Brad Griffin took notice of these comments about my coworkers.

    7. Cory you are still an idiot. Jacob stand up to those assholes, don't you live in Pennsylvania? I thought all you Yankee folk were not racist and bigots. It seems they may be cut from the same cloth as Cory.

    10. Folks, diversity and inclusion are American values that are set in stone. They may try and chip away, but they will FAIL. Unless there is authoritarian rule, we aren't going backwards. I'd be very surprised to see Trump go very far in this respect, because he would have to mandate these kinds of changes at all levels of society starting with corporate culture. Diversity, inclusion and non-discrimination are settled policy.

  5. Notable flagger and Lexington Neo-Confederate pageant lead bagpiper David Hinton is defending his pipe band, the "Virginia Scots Guards" (no relation to the Pipes & Drums of the Scots Guards, an actual British Army unit) against criticism of its Neo-Confederacy at the annual Central Virginia Celtic Festival and Highland Games. Not only do several pipers fly the Confederate battle flag from their bagpipes, the band's official tent has an invented 20th-century mashup of the 1949-design Virginia flag and the Confederate flag.

Hinton's only excuse is that the members of his band enjoy Confederate Heritage[TM]:

"David Hinton The ANV Battle Flag was patterned after the Scot Saltair. It showed a lot of Scots fought for the south in TWBTS. The hybrid flag with the VA seal shows VA was a southern state. Our organization is connected with Confederate Heritage organizations. All of our band members have direct line ancestors who fought for the south and we honor them. They are by law, US Veterans. We had so many people thank us for displaying the colors. Anyone who doesn't like the ANVBF doesn't have to look at it. We won't be offended."

[The part about US law is false of course. And the word he's looking for to describe the Cross of St. Andrew is "saltire." It's not clear why he thinks a lot of Scots fought for the south. He is probably thinking of the 79th New York Highlanders, who fought for the U.S. instead of against it. This guy is gullible enough to believe the fake William Wallace quote about how "Any society which suppresses the heritage of its conquered minorities" blah blah blah.]
