Hate Not Heritage: "All it takes is one man and a rifle to stop there little parade"...

This post comes to us from one of the three Facebook pages of apparent Patriotic Brigade Knights Grand Dragon Scott Woods, aka "Woodsy" of Natural Bridge, Virginia. Check out Mr. Barnes comment.

One of Scott Woods three Facebook pages lists him as a Grand Dragon at "PBK" or Patriotic Brigade Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. (Image courtesy of Facebook)

I don't want to alarm any of the anti-racists planning to be in Lexington on January 14th, but with a comment like this, I think we need to err on the side of safety. I have forwarded this post to Lexington Mayor Mimi Elrod as a precaution, to make sure that everyone is safe.

Looks like ol' Woodsy is thinking about a protest of his own? I wonder if he will apply for a permit?

Folks, one thing you can be sure of, wherever you find Confederate flags, you are naturally going to find this kind of hate and vitriol. And why not? It's what the flag represents. And would you believe folks, Mr. Barnes is a Facebook friend of our good buddy Steven Monk?

  1. For some reason, this comment disappeared, and Blogger won't let me re-publish it, so I copied and pasted:

"Connie Chastain has left a new comment on your post "Hate Not Heritage: "All it takes is one man and a ...":

"Folks, one thing you can be sure of, wherever you find Confederate flags, you are naturally going to find this kind of hate and vitriol. And why not? It's what the flag represents."

Nope. You are wrong. There are a many gatherings with Confederate flags where such "hate and vitriol" never occur; that's why you don't feature them on your hate blog. You can't find, fabricate or fake linkin' and tyin' to "hate and vitriol" so you ignore those events. So, no, that's not what the flag represents.

Do you sincerely not see how unbalanced you look, when you try to smear a group of dozens or hundreds, with the photos of TWO GUYS? And circling the photos of two guys, or linking to the profile of one or both establishes not one iota of proof that the two guys have any influence on the group.

Folks, (i.e., Simpson, Sledge, Corey) y'all's apparent approval of or agreement with Jacob makes y'all look just as unbalanced... It's worse than not seeing the forest for the trees... It's deliberately ignoring the forest and zooming in on a sapling.

Y'all are revealing your motives, and they are not admirable.

    1. The post was not to do any of the things Mrs. Chastain alleged, they were as a reminder of the types of people you encounter in the "Heritage" movement, which includes all types of hate group members. It is also to show that the Heritage movement would rather attack anti-racists then to attack racists, which is precisely what a racist would do. The Heritage movement isn't upset by this man's rhetoric, because they identify with this type of deplorable speech.

    2. "It's deliberately ignoring the forest and zooming in on a sapling." - But, it just takes that one sapling to ruin the whole forest... Or so we're always told about Muslims... I mean, radical pine beetles.

Connie, to deny that it exists, or to dismiss it because it's "TWO GUYS", misses the forest... or the sapling, or whatever fits here.

Obviously, these "TWO GUYS" are going to recruit people of like minded people to come with. But, to also say it's only "TWO GUYS", denies the mountain of evidence from this blog alone that shows people like these "TWO GUYS" are pervasive through your movement.

To also say that because there have been many gatherings where such hate and vitriol didn't occur, doesn't mean it wasn't present. There just wasn't attention drawn to it.

By the by, nice placement of the quotes around "hate and vitriol". Are you suggesting that this isn't hate and vitriol?

But, hey, I'm just a feel-good indoctrinee... whatever that is.
