The troops rush to Silent Susan's side in the absence of a defense against ugly and inconvenient facts...

It's spin city in Flagger land tonight. The Flaggers have seen their leader completely crumble under a very modest amount of pressure, and are left wondering if their Captain has the resolve to lead them back into enemy territory again, after last years humiliating retreat. Remember folks:

    1. Folks, no doubt in my mind that a certain someone in Pensacola is behind this new blog.

Nothing this blog says about the current controversy is relevant because there is no indication that this individual is even connected in any way to the Flaggers. This is how Susan operates. She is afraid to answer questions herself so she has her minions do all her dirty work for her. Why won't Susan Hathaway directly address these claims. If they are lies, prove it. If you don't prove they are false, we should continue to assume they aren't. "Polly Graff" is no Flagger spokesperson. Susan Hathaway is their leader. The buck stops in Sandston. Only Susan can explain the rationale of her group for keeping their flag flying on the property of a man who said that blacks should be put down like the dogs they are. Only Susan, and no one else's statements matter. Right now, she's only answering (in theory, not in practice) to bloggers. Who will she be answering to tomorrow? The Washington Post? They are not going to be as forgiving. Better to address this now than to continue to let it linger. The longer the Flaggers go without addressing this, the harder it will be for them to explain why they wouldn't address it sooner. Clearly, a comment like that is deplorable, why won't they say it? I'll tell you why, because if they do, it puts them in between a rock and a really hard place. They have a flag flying on that man's property. It's ok if they don't agree with him, but we have no indication that they don't because just like Raymond Agnor, Matthew Heimbach, Ryan Lee Venable, Dennis Durham, Skip Rogers, Ron Doggett, Jason Sulser, Shane Long, and a bunch of others, they won't address anyone, or anything controversial. And do you want to know the real reason why? If Susan was to come out against those comments, that would be tantamount to admitting that they stood by and did nothing about the very real problem that exists within the Confederate Heritage movement, the exact same problem we are alleging exists and that they deny. And why would that be a problem? Because then they would be under pressure to remove that ugly flag, and that would be a clear step backwards. Rather than being on the right side of this moral issue, it's more important for them to give their base the red meat they crave, hate flags. If my assessment is inaccurate, false, misleading, etc., I am open to criticism and am inviting Susan Hathaway to respond right here and now. She is now, and always has been welcome to chime in and correct the record. I invite her to. I will do this more formally later this evening. I for one would absolutely love to hear what she has to say about all of these issues. Please Susan, do speak up and set us straight, or would you prefer to continue to show the Flaggers that you don't have the courage to fight your own fights yourself without having middlemen (or women) like ol' Polly Graff to do it for you? That's not leadership, that's cowardice.

    2. Folks, I have decided that I am hereby formally announcing that with God as my witness, I will cease any further blogging about Confederate Heritage if Susan Hathaway will formally denounce Matthew Heimbach, white nationalism, the League of the South, the Council of Conservative Citizens, Dennis Durham, Jason Sulser, Ryan Lee Venable, and the aforementioned comments by Raymond Agnor and Hubert Wayne Cash. I will provide this in writing in my own real name. This should be really easy to do, because any righteous human being with a decent sense of morality would be able to do this very easily and without hesitation. The offer is on the table.

    3. I forgot to mention one condition, it must be done from official Flagger outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Blog).

    5. LOL...another Connie Ward Chastain Blog...worthless

    6. And it would seem too that Connie has taken on an alias which I have been taken to task over and over again by her. Her name should by Hypocrisy.

    7. 1) Plausible, but unproven. Hilarious if true!

      2) Again, if true, totally LULZ worthy.

    8. Oh that is Connie's new blog and alias. It has the same format, same copyright and Stan...in the comments section.

    11. Levin isn't connected with the Flaggers, either. And the only ones demanding that the Flaggers do this, or Susan do that, are people who hate them. Obviously, many people -- in fact, I'd say most people -- do not agree with Agnor's comments; however, at the same time, they also think the notion that the flaggers hold similar views because they have a business arrangement with Mr. Agnor is utterly preposterous. You keep hammering about something that may mean something to you (though I doubt it, you probably just want to victimize some white folks) but that means nothing to heritage folks.

    12. "Polly Graff" - I feel like I'm in a Batman episode.

    13. At least I named myself after a real American hero, Bobby Lee. Just more evidence that the Flaggers are fresh out of new tricks.

    14. She's already admitted it is her as Polly Graff. Good grief, she couldn't even keep a simple ruse going.

    15. Most people I know make it a habit of having nothing to do with folks who express views such as those of Mr. Agnor's. I think that's pretty sensible. Some people obviously aren't bothered by the comments. We've seen no indication that they are. There isn't much else we can conclude from our observations.

  2. The Va. Flaggers quoting racist, Dublin, Ga. CPA John C. Hall is more proof of their acceptance of racists in their mix.

    1. I did notice that he is featured prominently on their blog and Facebook, yet no mention of his comments in which he once alleged that every niggers dream is a white girl. Such a disgusting and deplorable statement should surely be repudiated. If I was running the Flaggers, I would quickly sever ties, but alas, I'm not.

    2. Heck, Jacob, you'd lock people up for their beliefs if you could. A hint for understanding John C. Hall, Jr. To him, N-----s is not a synonym for black people.

      Delete
    3. 1) An out and out lie. I have no interest in locking anyone up for their beliefs.

      2) The comment speaks for itself.

    4. Connie appears to know much about racist John C. Hall

      Delete
    5. I know Mr. Hall fairly well. We've corresponded by Internet and spoken by phone several times. I worked on typesetting his book about his Confederate ancestor until my surgery prevented further involvement. I know John is not a racist. I know he successfully got Brooks Simpson off his back and stopped the good professor from posting lies about Hall at his blog. Coupla years ago, John also went toe-to-toe with Mark David George, former professor of Race/Class/Gender, Sexuality, and Masculinity Studies (oh, brother, what they make "studies of these days) at Valdosta State University. Thanks to John's initiative, Mr. George departed VSU over his controversial use of university resources for political activity. I read he found employment at some institution of higher learning on the west coast somewhere. Don't know if he's still there. Do know he's not at Valdosta State anymore.

See this is why you all have a reputation for just willy nilly calling anything and anybody you don't like "racist." It's also why the accusation of "racist!" loses more and more of its impact every day.

    6. That's an absolute lie. The majority of the time, I don't even use that word. Wanna know why? Because I don't need to. The public can judge for themselves what these folks mean based on their words and their actions. I don't need to tell them what it is because sensible people will see it for what it is. Sensible people (of which I'm sure is the majority of our society) can observe Susan, the Flaggers, and the Heritage movements stonewalling. They're smart enough to know why y'all won't answer simple questions. They know exactly what it means when folks like y'all can't bring yourselves to denounce people like Heimbach or Monk, or whoever is the flavor of the day. They can see through your words and evaluate your actions. I don't need to use nasty words, y'all are doing a fine job defining yourselves.

    7. "... I don't need to tell them what it is ..." Sure you do, or you think you do. You are OBSESSED with "telling them what it is." That's what this whole flippin' blog is for.

Southern heritage preservation does not exist to denounce anything -- except those trying to destroy it. Your mentality would probably rail against the ladies sewing club for not building habitats for endangered snail darters... One has nothing to do with the other, regardless of how mightily you strive to connect them. Individuals in the sewing club may be endangered species supporters, but not the club. Can you possibly get that through your head?

No, the people who do this "seeing through" are race-based haters such as yourself, Levin, Tim Wise and all the white-hating trouble makers. You can screech and jump up and down and demand all you want to, but no Flaggers are in Heimbach's group, or in Monk's group, and the Flaggers organization have no more responsibility for denouncing them than they do for denouncing NAMBLA or people who are selling aborted baby parts. As individuals, they no doubt denounce all of that, but Flaggers are a group that define themselves with a stated purpose -- defending and promoting Confederate heritage, and that doesn't encompass denouncing Heimbach or Monk or NAMBLA or Planned Parenthood or ANYBODY except whoever is attacking and removing Confederate heritage. Get. That. Through. Your. Head.

    8. "Southern heritage preservation does not exist to denounce anything"

No one said anything about existing for that purpose. What we are talking about is being able to observe no evidence that y'all have ever denounced or done a single thing about all sorts of deplorable individuals in your movement. Even irrefutable proof of rape of a minor is NOT ENOUGH to cow fearless Susan or anyone else in the Heritage movement into denouncement. How sad.

  3. How do they define winning? Did they take tips from Charlie Sheen? The CBF is coming down everywhere. The flaggers were created for a specific purpose and they have utterly FAILED to achieve that goal. That is not winning. That is failing. They're a bunch of racists lying to people and they've been called out on it. Their answers have no factual support. And they think that means they're winning. No, they're just ignorant and desperate for attention.

    1. They offered answers? Did I miss it? Neither Susan, nor any of her chorus of defenders has refuted any of Levin's claims.

    2. Dimmy, they said there are more Confederate flags flying now than at any time in years. That's winning. We know it is because Levin screeches about it on his blog, and Simpson does, and Jacob does and Andy does, and you do, in comment threads... I guess you don't have what it takes to have your own screeching blog. But the anger from your quarter is one huge indication that the Flaggers, and Confederate heritage, is winning.

    1. No she didn't. She obfuscated and completely ignored refuting any of the factual claims. Honestly, there's nothing to refute, because they are factual claims. The only thing there is for her to do is to say how she feels about each claim, and explain the continued flying of the two flags. Let's be clear about something, while each and every flag y'all have raised is offensive, only two in particular are we calling attention to for very specific reasons. Why won't Susan just say how she feels about Mr. Agnor and Mr. Cash's comments?

      Delete
    2. Silent Susan didn't answer anything. She did the usual flagger meander around things. When it comes to facts, she ignored them and lied. She didn't reject the racism that is inherent with the CBF and the flaggers. She didn't reject the racists she associates with. Why? Because Susan Hathaway is a racist. No need to point out she is a liar. That's evident.

    3. Their actions speak for themselves.

  6. The ass kissing that surrounds Susan Hathaway is tantamount to that which I have personally witnessed in a corporate environment. It is cultish. Give it up Heritage folks, y'all have a problem in your movement. Either deal with it yourselves, or it will be dealt with, embarrassingly in public. Your choice.
