The End of the Road: Did someone forget to break the bad news to the Flaggers?

Image
Don't take my word for it, take it from the lawyer fighting to have the flags returned. Via GoDanRiver:

"If the Virginia Supreme Court decides not to grant a petition for a rehearing in Danville’s Confederate flag case, that will likely bring the matter to a close, said an attorney representing a pro-flag group in the case. However, there will certainly be other challenges in other parts of the state, said Kevin Martingayle, attorney for the Heritage Preservation Association. That’s why the Virginia Supreme Court should take up the case, Martingayle said.“There are too many of these fights looming,” he said. The issue of Confederate monuments has come up in Portsmouth and Petersburg, Martingayle added.Someone could raise the issue of the Confederate statues on Monument Avenue in Richmond, he said. The state needs to give a ruling so every locality knows what rules to abide by, he said.“One thing we definitely need is a final answer,” Martingayle said. The HPA could appeal the ca…

When you have to beg the news media to cover you, that is a sign that you are a total joke. Let's wait and see if WTVR takes the bait and gives them what they want, without asking them any hard questions about their "Confederate Heritage".

I don't get the feeling that too many people are happy with the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Have the Sons become completely irrelevant at this point? Here's a fan club of another kind for you. I like this one more, better.

Hate Not Heritage: White Sandston Flagger goes bonkers on black woman, allegedly terrorizes her with a shotgun and Confederate flag...

Image
Via WTVR:

"HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A woman involved in a parking dispute Sunday morning says she was terrified after police say a Sandston man pointed a shotgun at her and vandalized her car.Cierra Mayes says she was at a community yard sale in the 300 Block of Treva Road when the incident took place.Police said the incident started when Thomas Lee Campbell, 54, got upset after a car parked in front of his Sandston home. That’s when Thomas allegedly jammed tree branches inside her vehicle, causing damage to a windshield.Mayes said she discovered the branches when she and her dad returned to her car from the yard sale.“That’s when I noticed a yellow note sitting right here on my windshield with big black letters that say F you,” she explained."I noticed someone was hurrying down their driveway so I went to the door and I knocked and I rang the doorbell but immediately he came out yelling, saying racial comments."Mayes said after confronting Campbell about the note, he wen…

Flagger FAIL!: Judge issues written ruling which could pave the way for the removal of an ugly Confederate eyesore in Louisville

Image
Another Flagger FAIL! A judge has issued a written ruling which may remove the last hurdle for the removal of an ugly statue in Louisville, Kentucky. Via the Courier-Journal:

"A judge has ruled that Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer has the right to remove a controversial 121-year-old Confederate monument from near the University of Louisville, where it was increasingly viewed as an inappropriate reminder of racism amid a diverse college campus.Jefferson Circuit Judge Judith McDonald-Burkman's written ruling affirmed a May 25 verbal decision to deny an injunction sought by plaintiffs, including the Sons of Confederate Veterans, who had earlier won a temporary restraining order halting removal work. It also granted Fischer's motion to dismiss the case - allowing the city, which had pledged to do no removal work until the ruling, to press ahead."We thought we were on the right side of the law," Fischer said. "Now the question is where are we going to move it.&quo…

A pitiful display of support for Confederate Heritage in Louisville...

You can say that again brother! It just gets worse and worse all of the time. Via WLKY:

"LOUISVILLE, Ky. —A small group gathered at the Confederate monument adjacent to the Belknap campus Sunday.Others believe the 70-foot statue should stay put.“'Cause it needs to be seen, because if you move it, you hide it. What is wrong with where it stands?” Elaine Taylor said.“Its been fine for over 100 years. It's not in the way. Maybe it's offensive to some people, I don't know who,” Richard Manion said.About a dozen supporters stood in Freedom Square and Louisville Metro police stood by just in case."

The accompanying video report includes the following gem quotes:

“Maybe it’s offensive to some people. I don’t know who?” Richard Manion

Of course you don't Dick. It's because you are unable to recognize your own white supremacist-like attitude.

Flagger FAIL!: Virginia Supreme Court says "No!" to Flaggers

Image
Confederate Heritage activists are not going to be happy about this. These experts at accomplishing nothing are racking up loss after loss, all across the South. Via GoDanRiver:

"The Virginia Supreme Court will not hear an appeal of Danville Circuit Judge James J. Reynolds’ decision that upheld Danville’s removal of a Confederate flag from a monument on the grounds of the Sutherlin Mansion, the city announced in a news release Monday afternoon.A three-judge panel found “no reversible error in the judgment” of Reynolds’ decision last October that dismissed a lawsuit against Danville by the Heritage Preservation Association and others. The HPA plans to file an appeal of the decision."

The Confederate FAIL-ers will keep going until they can't go any further, I'm sure.

Small setback? LOL! When the Supreme Court of Virginia rules not in your favor, that is much more than a "small setback", it is validation that Flaggers are complete failures.

Now folks, this is how you restore the honor! Remember, we are told that what Raymond Agnor says and does in his private life has zero reflection on the Virginia Flaggers or the Confederate flag that they erected on his land in Lexington, Virginia. Got it.

I'm pretty sure that this person isn't 14 or 15 years old, but even so, these comments really make me want to puke.
