Would you look at that caboose? Hathaway's not bad either.

    1. Who cares? It's just friggen cloth.

I'm not an Amerophile, and I'm not Anti-American. I understand there's all kinds of flag protocol and courtesy and whatever, but I see standing on, spitting on, and even burning a flag (personally) as a free speech issue. To be honest, I just don't care. It's just cloth. Would I do it? No. Do I agree with it? No. Do I care? No.

I'll never understand how people can get so worked up about stone and cloth. Really, who cares? They are just symbols, and what someone else does to them isn't going to affect my life in any way.

If you erase all symbols tomorrow (and I mean all, not just Confederate ones), do you know how my life's going to be impacted? It's not. It's going to go on, just like your lives went on after gay marriage was legalized. Before it happened, it was such a big deal, but now that it's legalized, how did it affect your life? Answer? It didn't. It only affected the lives of those it was meant to, gay persons. Your churches are still there. They didn't burn to the ground. The world didn't collapse. There were no plagues. The entire thing is so silly. If they take the stupid flag down and put it in a museum (where it belongs in my opinion) you can still go see it in a museum or better yet, go put one on your own property. So do that, and stop being giant, full grown infants.

I really don't care about symbolism, except when it's used as a means to degrade other people (which it most certainly is.)

  2. Oh gay marriage impacted them alright. That's one more step away from putting them out of sight so they aren't subjected to such debauchery.

Can't hang 'em. Can't jail 'em. Can't put them away in a mental hospital. And now they're supposed to get equal rights? T'ain't 'merica no more.

Good thing no one has the conviction of the old time secessionists.
