Oh What a Night!: A star-studded Confederate Heritage ball in Danville

The Heritage stars were out in full-force on Saturday evening in Danville, Virginia at the 2016 Old South Ball. And boy, oh boy, what a cast of characters it was. They rolled the red carpet out for everyone from Herman "The Happy Slave" White, to Kirk David Lyons. You couldn't spit without hitting a Confederate Heritage All-star.

Ben "Cooter" Jones showed off his hot ride.

Herman White got the crowd pumped. I wonder if he told them that old chestnut about how happy the slaves were back in the day?

Congressional candidate Jim McKelvey was stumping for votes. Those flags are likely going to do wonders for his campaign.

Barry Isenhour could smell those Kenny's dogs all the way from Danville.

Fred Taylor and Susan Hathaway talked a little shop in-between awards.

Kirk David Lyons receives some kind of a special award. How cool would it have been if it was a leg lamp?

Sources tell us that Richard Hines (or his doppleganger) and Susan Hathaway absolutely stole the show with their high-falootin' dance moves! Feet, don't fail me now. Let's hope that Hines (or his twin) dropped some nickels in the donation can...

And as an added bonus, it looks like Cinderella crashed an entirely different ball with ol' Stonewall. Quite the cute couple. Better be careful though, people are going to talk... Looks like Southside Central has more coverage here, here, and here, with more to come soon.

Restoring the honor!
