A Virginia Flaggers victory!

“The House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee voted against a bill by voice vote Wednesday that would seek to eliminate a dual status for a holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Confederate general Robert E. Lee.
Rep. Nate Bell, R-Mena, sponsored House Bill 1113 after media reports of a sign posted at the state Capitol and state offices noted that state offices would be closed in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert E. Lee.
The bill was amended Monday to address issues with the bill on both sides, Bell said Tuesday.
The amendment would have removed a state holiday honoring Confederate president Jefferson Davis on June 3 and would instead create a “Patrick Cleburne-Robert E. Lee Southern Heritage Day” on Nov. 30.”

Here are Susan Hathaway's thoughts:

David Tatum Jr., a Virginia Flagger supporter and voice of reason on how to deal with protesters

David Tatum Jr. is a Virginia Flagger supporter, and a man of many opinions. For instance:

“My Dad taught me RESPECT for Old Glory.”

“So I'm offended by the Ferguson mob burning the flag !
The KKK using the American flag also offends me.
I have a simple solution for the Flag Abusers --
Use Grapeshot, Then let God sort em out !”

Too bad he didn’t teach you respect for human life. We did note that even though he mentions both the KKK and Ferguson protesters, when time came to choose his meme, he only chose to use one of the Ferguson protesters. By the way David, like it or not, burning the American flag is protected speech(It's also, to our knowledge NOT punishable by death). Here's some more classic David Tatum Jr. for you:

“One of the things that separates Us from Them is our conduct.”
“I’m a Free Will Baptist ( that's as close as I can define it )I have a very simple philosophy & belief on religion ----"Treat others as you wish to be treated"I try to treat othe…

Virginia Flagger Billy Bearden published in newspaper dubbed "racist" by West Florida Flagger head, Connie Chastain

That's how Billy Bearden changes those hearts and minds!

You're probably going to want to read David Duke's piece in the same issue:

Now we know what's coming. Billy Bearden didn't know his writing was going to be published in the paper. We've heard that ol' chestnut before. Don't expect Billy Bearden or The Virginia Flaggers to put up any fight though. And why would they? After all, here's what Susan Hathaway's heavy hitterConnie Chastain had to say about The First Freedom:
“Obscure, visually cluttered, almost incoherent racisttabloid newspaper.”
Ouch! Did she just use the 'R'-word? I think she did. There you have it folks, from the head of the West Florida Flaggerslips to your ears, The First Freedom is a "Racist" newspaper. Thanks Connie!

Restoring the honor!

If you lie down with dogs, you're bound to get fleas...

That's Dallas Brumback. He's accused of a plot to murder his ex-Wife. He also has ties that lead back to the Confederate Heritage crowd. Follow along.

“Man Accused of Murder for Hire Plot Dallas Brumback Has Ties to White Supremacist Group”, NBC 4 Washington, January 26, 2015

“A Sterling, Virginia man arrested last week in a murder for hire plot has links to a white supremacist group. Dallas Brumback, Jr. was charged Jan. 22 with attempted capital murder for allegedly trying to pay someone to kill his ex-wife. Court documents and conversations with Brumback's neighbors reveal he has ties to a whites-only Christian organization. In July of 2012, Brumback was one of the organizers of a conference near Birmingham, Alabama where Ku Klux Klan banners were displayed and only certain white Christians were allowed. African-Americans, Jews, Catholics and Muslims were barred. Clean-shaven with short hair two years ago at the conference, Brumback now sports long, shaggy hair and a lon…

Matthew Heimbach a good guy? So says Virginia Flagger Tripp Lewis

It is apparently too painful for the Flaggers to distance themselves from Heimbach and his rotating cast of racist freaks by saying anything other than "He's a good guy".

Restoring the honor!

Second Virginia Flagger records podcast with ex-Neo Nazi

This is definitely how you restore the honor!

Michael O. Cushman, 36, of Aiken, S.C., is a former member of the neo-Nazi National Alliance. Records show Cushman first contacted the National Alliance (NA) in 1997, at the age of 21, and became a dues-paying NA member in November 1999 with the membership number, C0127.  Now, Cushman runs the Southern Nationalist Network.” Southern Poverty Law Center

Restoring the honor!

Restoring the honor, the Gregory M. Kay way!

Gregory M. Kay is an author and admitted White Nationalist. From Kay’s Bio at Amazon:
“Politically he is a Southern Nationalist, and has held state-level office in the League of the South, and state- and national-level positions with the Southern Party/Southern National Committee.”“First published at the age of 19 in The West Virginia Woodsman, his fiction and non-fiction have been widely published in a variety of internet and hard-copy publications, including The First Freedom monthly newspaper, for which he is the West Virginia correspondent.”

Kay has quite the way with words. In a piece titled “Pit Bulls and Negroes”, published in the July 2011 issue of The First Freedom, Kay questioned why Pit Bulls can be banned and not African Americans, suggested making "Negro-free zones" in schools, and reminisced over the good ol' days of Jim Crow era segregation.
“Pit Bulls, once considered the ideal “nanny dog” for children, have gotten a bad rap lately, especially among the ev…

Connie Chastain and the West Florida Flaggers: In Bed With Anti-Semite White Supremacists?

Taking a cue from this post... a letter by Connie Chastain printed in the April 2011 issue of The First Freedom, page 2.

No links and ties here, unless you mean Chastain's links and ties...

“Sometime in 2001, I attended a meeting to discuss the feasibility of a Southern Heritage Festival along the upper Gulf Coast, perhaps Pensacola or Ft. Walton Beach. I met Mr. Childress at that meeting.
On January 13, 2002, I attended an event at the University of West Florida at which Morris Dees was the speaker. Mr. Childress also attended, and I saw him and talked with him there. He was thrown out of the refreshments segment of the event by campus police, who manhandled him two to one, pushing him backwards out the heavy glass doors onto the sidewalk. I was talking with someone near the exit when it happened, and we witnessed it. I later wrote a report about it for my e-zine, 180 Degrees True South.
I also exchanged a handful of emails with him mostly about the possible festival and the Dees a…

Virginia Flaggers leader Susan Hathaway "humbled" to receive award from the Southern Legal Resource Center in 2012

Via The Confederate Voice, Volume 1, Issue 2, Page 3, April 2012 “The Board of Directors of the Southern Legal Resource Center is pleased to announce the creation of the Basil Dwayne "Bazz" Childress Heritage Award to honor those who show initiative, leadership and daring (beyond the calling of the average citizen) in the preservation of Liberty, rights of the Confederate community and Confederate heritage. The Board of Directors voted unanimously to make the first award to Susan Frise Hathaway of Sandston, Virginia for her leadership and daring do in the activities of the Virginia Flaggers in their concerted effort to restore Confederate flags to the exterior of the Pelham Chapel and other activities. Congratulations, Susan! - a silver Heritage Medal from the Issac Newton Giffen SCV Camp goes along with the certificate from the SLRC.”
Hathaway is in very good company here, because both Valerie Protopapas and Christine Barr also received awards.

Here is what Hathaway had to …

A Restoring the Honor, Public Service Announcement... with guitar

Now we here at Restoring the Honor want to help do our part to restore the honor to the symbols of our ancestors, such as the Confederate Battle Flag. The Confederate Battle Flag IS NOT a racist symbol, it is a symbol of our heritage, and nothing more. Of all the groups working tirelessly to restore the honor to the Confederate Battle Flag are The Virginia Flaggers, led by Susan Frise Hathaway. Over the years, The Virginia Flaggers have been the recipients of the fruits of the labor, of one hard working and dedicated Flagger supporter named Judy Smith, through her businessJudy Smith Photography

Judy Smith is a professional photographer who's work is prominently featured by the Flaggers on their blog and Facebook page. Judy Smith is a true professional in every sense of the word and we can't say enough great things about the quality of her body of work.
We were shocked recently when we noticed that Judy Smith Photography's work was being used and reposted at sites who…

That moment when everybody wants to be your friend...

Because you give great advice!

And by everybody, we mean:

Kirk David Lyons
“Around the same time, Lyons was identified as a member of the National Alliance, the neo-Nazi group headed by William Pierce, who wrote The Turner Diaries, the race-war novel Timothy McVeigh used as a blueprint for the Oklahoma City bombing. In a 1989 issue of the members-only National Alliance Bulletin, Pierce wrote that "Houston member Kirk Lyons, an attorney ... has organized the Patriots Defense Foundation as a start toward doing for our people what the Jews have done for our enemies." Pierce then suggested that members send donations to the PDF.In September 1990, a kilt-clad Lyons, only recently divorced, married the daughter of Charles Tate, at that time the second-in-command at AN. The service was held in the group's church, and, at Lyons' request, was a Scottish affair complete with bagpipes and an exchange of the tartans of the Lyons and Tate clans. His new wife, Brenna Tate, had grown …
